About the book
One woman's journey out of the “Box World”
Who am I? What is my purpose? Why am I stuck where I am? In Spirit Seeker, Lohra Ballinger tells the story of the year those questions finally cracked her life open.
After years of hard relationships and a long depression, she rode her motorcycle more than 5,000 miles, from Southwest Florida to Montana, and came home changed. A dream woke her spiritually. She began reading the signs in nature, looked back honestly at her childhood in the Indiana woods, and started finding her way out of a world run on money and work, toward a freer life of love, community and care for the earth.
It is a personal memoir, written from the heart, about remembering who you really are. It ends years later, with the birth of her son, Cooper.
“Sunset is the time when we can see the two worlds meet.”
“How is one able to see their own world, if they do not see another?”
“I was cocooned for most of my life and I am coming out of it.”
